We’re looking for an Operations Manager ideally from within the creative industries who’d like to join our team at our animation studio by the seaside. We hand make puppets and shoot animation and would like someone to help us with operations and logistics for fit-out as we move into our new larger studio space.

As part of our growth initiative, we’re on the lookout for the right person to take ownership of our new studios development. We’re looking for someone practical who can be the conductor between our build contractors and our creative team.

The role will be perfect for an experienced Operations Manager who will be ambitious about spearheading a creative studio and implementing the business\’s strategic objectives. You will be responsible for administering projects, seeking opportunities and supporting growth plans to ensure the future smooth running of our operations.

Studio Management

  • Management of studio facilities: working with the building project manager to ensure smooth running and development of our new studio build. The operations manager will work to facilitate the correct occupation and oversee the production space.
  • Monitoring and management of studio build budgets and expenditure.
  • Project management: oversee the full life cycle of the studio build and ensure key milestones are met within deadlines.
  • Resource management: allocating studio resources to ensure the team has what it needs to deliver work on time and to a high standard. Organising annual leave requests, sickness and recruitment opportunities across teams.
  • Resourcing and implementing new operational systems and ongoing research into finding ways to streamline processes across the production office and studios.
  • Research and development of industry funding and partnership opportunities.
  • Continue to build and nurture relationships with our education partners.

About You

  • 3+ years operational experience, ideally in the film, creative or television sector.
  • Experience of business relocation and studio development.
  • Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks and deadlines effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to communicate externally with partners and contractors and across teams internally.
  • A can-do attitude and experience working with creative teams.

Essential Criteria:

  • Full UK Driving License
  • This is an On-Site position and the applicant will need to live within a reasonable commute to our Margate studio addresses.
  • The right to work in the UK.

Salary: £35,000 pa
