Leading Carrickfergus based Generator Installation & Maintenance Provider is looking for an individual to fill the role of a Diesel Mechanic to carry out jobs across Northern Ireland. With a vast number of contracts managed in different sectors, there is plenty of room for progression and opportunities within the business.

We are seeking to recruit a number of mechanical bias engineers to join our team. In return you can expect a generous rate of pay, company van, other benefits plus long term job security.

As a mechanic for our company you will be tasked with completing the following duties:

  • Planned and preventative maintenance
  • General engine servicing
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Engine rebuild works and replacing defective parts
  • Hands on installation of a range of diesel generators

Qualifications Required:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent (mechanical bias)
  • Driving Licence

Desirable Attributes:

  • Previous experience working with diesel generators / generator systems or in the HGV industry
  • Previous experience fault finding on diesel engines
  • Previous experience working with various engines such as; Perkins, Caterpillar, MTU, Volvo, Mitsubishi, Cummins
  • Previous experience in the installation and modification of fuel systems / exhaust systems

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
