A & C Aggregates Ltd was first established in the spring of 2003 and has sites based in Narberth along with depots based in Bolton Hill (Haverfordwest), Pembroke Dock, Carew and Cardigan. Our products and services include aggregates, concrete, tarmac supply and lay, landscaping products, sand, concrete blocks and a range of other products and services throughout the West Wales area.

We are looking for a skilled Vehicle Mechanic (car and van) to join our team based in our Narberth yard. This role will be responsible for ensuring our in-house fleet is maintained to an exceptional standard and that we remain compliant, as well as maintaining/servicing external customer vehicles. The ideal candidate will have the ability to prioritise workloads, work within set deadlines and have great attention to detail.

Responsibilities include:

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in cars and light commercial vehicles (vans)
  • Carry out routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
  • Repair or replace faulty components such as brakes, clutches, gearboxes, exhausts, and engines
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure vehicles meet legal standards (e.g. MOT readiness)
  • Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify issues accurately
  • Perform tyre fitting, balancing, and alignment
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
  • Communicate clearly with internal and external customers regarding repairs and costs
  • Follow health and safety procedures at all times
  • Keep the workshop clean, organised, and efficient

Qualification, Skill and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic or vehicle technician
  • Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • MOT tester certification (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (engine, transmission, electrical, braking)
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
