The Proposal Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of proposals at Abzena. This position controls and monitors the scope of work and budgeting process and is responsible for generating proposals accurately and timely.
Responsibilities
- Manages the generation of a portfolio of proposals from initial receipt to final submission to the client that feed into Abzena’s overall RFP activities.
- Coordinates the contributions of team members from across the business to create high quality responses through the RFP process.
- Leads team alignment calls and discussions to clarify scope of work, gain insights into the business opportunity, and understand key messages.
- Produces accurate pricing for proposals.
- Supports the creation of and updates to budget sheet templates, proposal templates, and other related templates.
- Ensures the final product is compliant with RFP requirements and is produced and delivered with highest quality.
- Communicates progress on individual proposal development to senior management and others across the business.
- Aligns with Q&A processes.
- Uses our systems (SalesForce, SharePoint and others) effectively throughout the RFP process.
- Complies with Abzena's policies and procedures.
- Communicates effectively with clients, supervisors, colleagues and staff.
- Participates effectively as a team player in all aspects of Abzena's business.
- Adheres to quality standards set by regulations and Abzena policies, procedures, and mission.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of proposal management experience is required.
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical or CDMO field is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, SalesForce) and Adobe Professional.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Effective listening and critical thinking skills.
- Effective problem solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of Proposal Management.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities and to work under tight deadlines while providing consistent and professional service.
- Accurate and efficient typing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of professionalism.
