ABV Solicitors, one of the UK’s leading criminal defence specialists, is seeking a Post-LPC / SQE / BPTC Paralegal to join our West London team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience across a diverse and significant criminal caseload, including both legally aided and privately funded work.
The role will include:
- Supporting solicitors with case preparation
- Taking instructions from clients
- Conducting legal research
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents
- Liaising with courts, experts and other third parties
- Assisting with complex and novel legal issues
- Attending police stations where accredited
- General casework and administrative duties
We are looking for someone with a demonstrable interest in criminal law, a strong academic background and, preferably, previous experience within a criminal law firm. You should be organised, able to work accurately under pressure, use your own initiative and work well as part of a team. There may also be an opportunity for future progression within the firm for candidates who demonstrate the requisite aptitude and commitment.
