The NHS is under immense pressure. Primary care teams are carrying more demand than ever, with limited time, capacity, and headroom. Abtrace is a venture-backed company that builds software to support them in making proactive health interventions across the populations they care for. Our product monitors the health record of a patient to detect signals of deterioration, early onset of new disease and opportunities for preventative interventions.

At Abtrace, we believe proactive and preventative care is one of the most effective ways to improve both public health outcomes and the daily experience of people delivering care. We believe healthcare professionals deserve software that is not only reliable and safe, but modern, thoughtful, and well designed. Today we support over 500 primary care practices across the UK covering 4.5 million patients, helping them improve quality of care while saving time and money.

We have offices in London, UK, and Porto, Portugal. We operate a hybrid working model and some of our team are fully remote. For this role we will give preference to candidates who can spend regular time collocated at one of our office locations.

The Role

You will help us make the impossible possible, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in primary care, and improving thousands of lives in the process. This is a hands-on IC role that will require end-to-end product management, from surfacing and understanding user needs through to the detail of what and how to deliver work items alongside your technical and design partners. Supported by a growing team of product peers, you will help to shape the future of the product, deliver new features and innovations, and learn from each incremental release.

We have strong product-market fit and demand for our existing offering is accelerating, so now we need to scale our company, people and technology. We are hiring across a variety of domains in 2026 and we have several flavours of product role available:

  • At the core of our product is an intelligent health data platform, deeply integrated with EHRs and other health services, which we are bringing to maturity and rolling out to new markets.
  • It provides the foundation on which our proactive and reactive healthcare products are built, creating innovative new experiences for clinicians, administrative staff and patients to help transform the delivery of health care throughout the patient journey, from spotting that a patient should be brought in to booking and managing their appointment, then handling follow-ups.
  • Finally, we have ambitious targets for growth in the next few years, and we are constantly looking at how we can bring value faster to patients and clinical teams, creating an easy and seamless onboarding experience and ensuring that all of our users get the most out of the product.

Who you are

You are likely to be a good culture fit if:

  • You are excited and inspired by the challenge of improving healthcare, care deeply about our customers and their patients, and are impatient to deliver exceptional value to them as quickly as possible.
  • You feel a sense of responsibility and care toward the people we serve, feel a duty of trust, and treat the privacy and security of customers and patients with uncompromising integrity.
  • You are a pragmatic decision maker. You possess a sense of urgency yet know when to slow down, consider or gather more information. You have a history of making difficult trade‐off decisions involving scope and priority, and bringing people with you on the journey.
  • You debate strongly but without ego, and are able to consider multiple positions and points of view. You commit to decisions once made, taking responsibility for their success to the best of your ability.
  • You’re happy to be challenged and embrace being wrong as a necessary step to learning. You are willing to change your mind and actively seek data that might do so.
  • You are open about difficulties or trade‐offs, even when they’re uncomfortable, and you trust your colleagues to make the right decisions about them.
  • You are an effective communicator, able to explain rationales and contexts to multiple audiences from technical to clinical to patients.
  • You strive to build healthy, high‐performing teams. You bring positive energy and treat your colleagues with empathy and compassion. You have high expectations of you and your team, and are constantly looking for ways to improve or help others improve. You are open and honest with feedback, both positive and critical.

On a practical level:

  • You have a few years of experience in B2B product management, preferably in health tech or a sector that you can bring transferable knowledge over from.
  • You have experience working closely with product, engineering, data science, and design colleagues, and negotiating with internal stakeholder groups such as sales, compliance and support.
  • Bonus points for time in an early‐stage start‐up, around the seed or series A stage.
  • You don’t have to be the ideal candidate to apply. Get in touch if you’re a good match in some areas and want to grow into others or if you bring something else to the table that you think will make us sit up and take notice.

Who this role is not suitable for

This role is probably not a good fit if you:

  • Prefer longer delivery cycles, we like to ship quickly and learn.
  • Want narrowly defined responsibilities or low‐ambiguity environments.
  • Like to spend your time on academic debates and treatises.
  • Prefer someone else to make the tough decisions.
  • Avoid challenge or find it difficult to advocate for quality when it’s uncomfortable.
  • Are put off by technical or product challenges that seem impossible at first glance.

Competitive salary, depending on experience. Private Pension. Generous maternity/paternity leave. Flexi working & possibility for remote working. Company’s office in Paddington - easy commute and comfortable surroundings. Motivated, highly functioning, multi‐disciplinary team. We’ll equip you with laptop and any necessary gear. As much freedom and independence as you earn, and a chance to grow rapidly as the company does.
