Are you an experienced Vehicle Polisher looking for a new opportunity within the automotive industry? Abstract Recruitment is currently recruiting for a leading automotive company in Corby, offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Polisher to join a busy and professional bodyshop environment. This is a full-time temp-to-perm position with long-term opportunities for the right candidate.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday
- Available shifts: 06:00 - 15:00
- 14:00 - 22:00
Pay: £16.00 per hour
About the Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out the final finishing and polishing work on freshly painted vehicles, making sure every vehicle meets the required quality standards before going through final inspection. Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out final polishing of freshly painted vehicle panels
- Removing paint imperfections, including runs and other defects
- De-nibbing and preparing panels before polishing
- Flatting and polishing panels using a dual-action polisher
- Removing scratches, swirl marks and other paint imperfections
- Carrying out detailed quality checks on completed work
- Ensuring vehicles are finished to a high standard and ready for inspection
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Polisher within an automotive bodyshop
- Strong knowledge of paint correction and polishing techniques
- Experience dealing with paint runs, defects and imperfections
- Excellent attention to detail
- A strong focus on quality and presentation
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced workshop
- A full UK driving licence
