to join our fantastic client, a leading company providing solutions for steel framing and pipework supports across a range of industrial and construction projects worldwide. We are looking for
two types of candidates : Fabrication Operative
primarily responsible for fabrication and assembly work. Warehouse Operative
primarily responsible for picking, packing and general warehouse activities, with the flexibility to support fabrication when required. The company operates across sectors including
Energy from Waste, Chemical, Oil & Gas, Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Building Services . The starting salary is
£13.50 per hour , with the potential for a higher rate for candidates with relevant
forklift experience/licences . A
full UK driving licence is ideally required
for both positions. Fabrication Operative
Key Responsibilities As a Fabrication Operative, you will be responsible for assembling modular steel frame components in line with technical drawings and project specifications. Your responsibilities will include: Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Measuring, cutting and assembling steel components. Operating fabrication tools and industrial cutting equipment safely. Using hand and power tools. Inspecting components and finished assemblies to ensure quality standards are met. Identifying and reporting defects or discrepancies. Packing completed frames ready for dispatch. Handling and moving heavy materials safely. Ensuring stock and materials are stored correctly. Completing required documentation accurately. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment. Working efficiently to meet production deadlines. Supporting general warehouse duties when required. Warehouse Operative
Key Responsibilities The Warehouse Operative will primarily support the company's day-to-day warehouse operations, including: Picking materials and products accurately. Packing completed orders ready for dispatch. Goods In and Goods Out activities. Loading and unloading deliveries. Stock checks and inventory control. Moving and organising materials safely. Preparing fabrication components and materials. Supporting the fabrication team when required. Maintaining accurate warehouse documentation. Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe. Following all Health & Safety procedures. Supporting general duties as required. Forklift experience/licence would be an advantage and may attract a higher rate of pay. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for candidates who have: Previous experience in
metal fabrication, manufacturing, warehouse or a similar environment . Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality. The ability to work safely with tools, machinery and materials. Good numerical and measuring skills. The ability to read technical drawings
for fabrication-focused candidates . Previous forklift experience/licence would be advantageous. The ability to lift and handle heavy materials. A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements. Good organisational and time-management skills. The ability to work efficiently to deadlines. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. The ability to work independently and as part of a small team. Good written and spoken English. Flexibility and a proactive approach to work. A full UK driving licence is ideally required.
