Abstract Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Multi Trade Operative to join a UK-based team. This is an immediate start role offering an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable client.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. Flexibility to respond to changing schedules or urgent repair needs.
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum.
Empty homes/voids experience is essential. We are seeking a qualified Carpenter with proven experience delivering high-quality works within social housing environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out repairs and refurbishment works to empty/void properties, ensuring homes are brought up to a safe, compliant, and lettable standard within agreed timescales.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Bathroom and kitchen fitting, repairs, and refurbishment works within empty/void properties
- Tiling to a good standard
- Vinyl floor laying to a good standard
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality targets
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of workmanship
Desirable:
- Experience working within social housing or local authority frameworks
- Relevant trade qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence
Location: Ideal location for Multi-Trades & Supervisor candidates: Newbury, Reading, Basingstoke, or along the M3/M4 corridor.
