Yard Operative with CB Licence and driving licence. Permanent Role £28,500 per year. Monday to Friday 07:30-16:30/17:00. Based in MK12.
The Role:
You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the yard and ensuring equipment is prepared, handled and dispatched safely and efficiently. Key duties include:
- Loading and unloading equipment using FLT
- Picking, preparing and loading
- Manual handling of equipment and stock
- Preparing equipment for jobs and ensuring it is ready for despatch
- Checking, maintaining and monitoring stock levels
- Assisting with regular servicing, inspections and basic maintenance of equipment
- Supporting health & safety procedures, including near miss, accident and damage reporting
- Completing basic admin such as load lists, labelling and reporting missing or damaged items
This is an outdoor role, working in a yard environment in all weather conditions.
Needs to be:
- Valid FLT licence (needs to be in date)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Experience in a yard, warehouse, plant or equipment environment preferred
- Strong awareness of health & safety procedures
- Reliable, proactive and able to work well as part of a team
- Good attention to detail, particularly when handling stock and equipment
