We are currently recruiting for 2 experienced Warehouse Coordinators to join a busy and fast-paced operation in Kettering. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity. Successful candidates will initially be employed through Abstract Recruitment for 13 weeks, with the opportunity to transfer directly to client following successful completion of the temporary period.

Salary: £31,000 per year + £1,116 MHE allowance. Total potential package: £32,116 per year. Salary includes the unsocial hours rate.

Shift Pattern: 22:00 - 06:30, 8.5-hour shifts including a 30-minute break, 5 shifts out of 7, with a requirement to work either Saturday or Sunday.

The Role: As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will oversee the daily activities of a warehouse team within a fast-paced operation. This is a visible, customer-facing position requiring strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills. You will work alongside other Coordinators and support the Shift Controller to ensure operational targets, safety standards and customer expectations are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating warehouse operatives during the night shift
  • Ensuring the operation runs safely and all procedures are followed
  • Managing workload to maintain a continuous operational flow
  • Communicating proactively with the client to meet deadlines and expectations
  • Providing hourly operational updates to the wider team
  • Building strong relationships with the onsite teams and customer
  • Supporting team development and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assisting with internal and external audits

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Warehouse Coordinator, Team Leader or similar leadership role
  • Experience managing people and achieving target-driven objectives
  • Experience running a shift or department
  • Strong warehouse operations background
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems
  • Good understanding of distribution processes
  • Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a multi-functional team
  • Flexible and confident working in a fast-paced environment
  • MHE licence (Reach Truck, PPT, Counterbalance or HLOP desirable)
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills are desirable
