We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our team as a full-time Mobile Engineer covering Basingstoke, Fleet, Reading and surrounding areas. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a variety of social housing contracts, delivering high-quality electrical services while ensuring safety and compliance standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, and repairs across multiple sites
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults efficiently
  • Performing annual emergency lighting testing and completing remedial works
  • Conducting EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports) and follow-up actions
  • Completing kitchen rewires and general electrical upgrades
  • Supporting mechanical systems work when required
  • Assisting with and delivering larger project works

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience within social housing or similar environments preferred
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • Full UK driving licence

This role involves travelling to various residential properties to carry out electrical installations, inspections, and repairs. The ideal candidate will possess solid electrical experience, be proficient with hand and power tools, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across multiple social housing properties.
  • Diagnose electrical faults accurately and implement effective solutions.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure electrical systems meet safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain detailed records of work carried out, including reports on repairs and inspections.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and residents.
  • Liaise with tenants, property managers, and other stakeholders professionally and courteously.
  • Assist in planning maintenance schedules and prioritising urgent repairs.

Requirements:

  • Proven electrical experience with a strong understanding of residential electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc., as well as power tools like drills and saws.
  • Valid electrical qualifications or certifications recognised within the UK (e.g., Part P or equivalent).
  • Ability to work independently whilst managing multiple jobs efficiently across different locations.
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential for travel between sites.
  • A proactive attitude towards health & safety compliance and customer service excellence.
