We are seeking a proactive and experiencedCustomer Service Team Leaderto oversee the customer service function at our prestigious client site in Corby. This pivotal role involves managing a team of Customer Service Administrators, acting as the key communication link between our client, their customers, and internal teams, and ensuring the seamless delivery of our logistics services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all activities within the Customer Service department, ensuring tasks are effectively distributed and completed to a high standard
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding service delivery, including complaint management and issue escalation where necessary
  • Support the Depot Manager with key account management, including attending customer meetings (in person and via Teams)
  • Provide operational coverage during staff absences to maintain consistent service delivery
  • Participate in operational meetings to review performance, identify improvements, and implement best practices
  • Oversee and manage customer invoicing processes
  • Organise and monitor order processing in line with departmental procedures and service level agreements
  • Liaise with planners, carriers, and agents to ensure service levels and pricing agreements are upheld
  • Ensure all customer service processes comply with company quality policies and standards
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Customer Service team to ensure high performance and continuous professional growth

Key Competencies and Skills

  • Proven experience leading a customer service team, ideally within logistics or supply chain environments
  • Strong ability to align team efforts with organisational goals and strategic objectives
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with high attention to detail
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Commercially astute, with a good understanding of balancing cost-efficiency and service excellence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word (intermediate level or above)

Working Hours:Monday to Friday 08:00 17:00

Salary:£35,000 £36,000 per annum

Start Date:Immediate start available
