Fantastic opportunity for a Sponsorship Sales Manager to be responsible for a sponsorship and fundraising strategy to secure financial and in-kind support for the London Borough of Culture programme. The role will focus on identifying and promptly securing corporate and local business sponsorship, grants, philanthropic giving, and other income streams, ensuring the programme has the necessary funding to deliver its vision, while laying the foundations for a long-term funding legacy for cultural activity in the borough.

Person Specification:

  • Strong direct sales experience — confident making sales calls and engaging in face-to-face outreach
  • Comfortable walking the streets of Wandsworth to meet and pitch to local businesses in person
  • Proactive and motivated to build a local client base quickly and utilise existing contacts
  • Solid understanding of sponsorship sales, including the basics of contracts and deliverables
  • Ability to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills and confident relationship builder
  • Immediate availability — ideally someone who can start ASAP
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, knowledge of donor management systems desirable but not essential
