We are a small, family-run business, covering the UK, looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a supportive environment, with clear potential for rapid career advancement into a Senior Risk Assessor / supervisory role. In this position, you will primarily be responsible for conducting Legionella risk assessments in various commercial properties across the UK. The role will involve regular travel, with occasional overnight stopovers required due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed Legionella risk assessments on water systems to ensure compliance with ACOP L8 and HSG274 Part 2 / 3.
  • Provide clear, accurate reports and recommendations to clients regarding water safety and Legionella risk management.
  • Advise clients on corrective actions to reduce Legionella risk.
  • Maintain detailed records and ensure all assessments are compliant with the latest industry standards.
  • Liaise with clients directly to understand their needs and deliver high-quality service.
  • Contribute to the development of safety policies and practices within the business.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Legionella risk assessment or a similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274 Part 2, and other relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential, as you will be required to travel across the UK.
  • Relevant Legionella risk assessor qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds or similar).
  • Experience with other related industry standards (e.g., HTM 04-01).
  • Ability to manage a small team or lead assessments with minimal supervision.
