As Event Manager, you will play a central role in bringing the Tythe Barn experience to life, leading the delivery of 2–3 weddings per week during peak season while also supporting the planning and coordination that ensures every event runs seamlessly. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that blends operational leadership with detailed preparation. You will take ownership of weddings from final planning stages through to flawless on-the-day execution, ensuring each celebration reflects the quality, warmth, and premium standards that define Tythe Barn.

Working closely with our Venue Director and wider team, you’ll ensure every event is not only beautifully delivered, but thoughtfully prepared, aligning logistics, suppliers, timelines and presentation well in advance. This role is ideal for a confident, organised professional who thrives in both planning environments and live event settings, and who takes pride in delivering exceptional weddings week after week.

Your Key Responsibilities as an Event Manager (Weddings)

  • Wedding Leadership & Delivery
    • Lead 2–3 weddings per week (in peak season) as the on-site Event Manager
    • Take full ownership of event execution from supplier arrival to final close-down
    • Act as the primary point of contact for couples, guests, and suppliers on the day
    • Manage live timelines confidently and troubleshoot discreetly
    • Deliver a calm, polished, and seamless guest experience
  • Planning & Coordination
    • Conduct final planning meetings and support couples in the lead-up to their wedding
    • Review and refine function sheets, schedules, and event documentation
    • Coordinate suppliers including caterers, florists, production teams, photographers and bands
    • Ensure all logistics are aligned and communicated clearly in advance
    • Oversee set-up plans and styling requirements to ensure premium presentation
    • Brief and manage front-of-house and event staff
    • Lead by example, maintaining high standards and professionalism throughout
    • Support and collaborate with the wider venue team to ensure consistency
  • Champion the Brand Experience
    • Deliver weddings that reflect the Tythe Barn aesthetic and service ethos
    • Maintain meticulous attention to detail across presentation, flow and atmosphere
    • Represent the brand with warmth, authority and integrity
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and venue policies
    • Monitor service quality, guest flow and overall experience
    • Oversee breakdown and secure handover of event spaces
    • Provide post-event feedback and insights to senior management

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience managing weddings or high-end events independently
  • Strong event planning and coordination experience
  • Ability to manage multiple weddings per week in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills and calm decision-making under pressure
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly professional, reliable and detail-focused
  • Experience within luxury venues or premium hospitality
  • Knowledge of wedding supplier networks
  • First Aid or Health & Safety training
