Working as the Event Support, you will provide Back of House and kitchen support to the Absolute Taste Team working with Cadillac F1 Team. This role is heavily focused on Back of House, extending across the kitchen team whilst supporting the operation as a whole. Extensive food knowledge is essential, along with a clean driver’s license and a forklift license (or the ability to obtain one). This role would suit a candidate with previous kitchen experience looking to broaden their skills in events and with a knack for event operations.
Planning
- Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of all policies and procedures for hospitality logistics set up for the client.
- Work closely with the Head of Logistics, Head Chef and the technical team to ensure that all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene signage and documentation is up to date.
- Collaborating with the BOH and FOH teams to ensure all sea freight equipment is packed safely and efficiently before shipment to prevent damage or loss.
- Assisting senior management with a continual and proactive approach to regular cost comparisons for equipment procurement and maintenance.
Onsite
- Assist in the set-up of mobile kitchens, dining areas and VIP hospitality spaces at race weekends and various other events.
- Provide general back of house support including washing and sanitizing all pots, pans, dishes, glassware and utensils, polishing to a high standard ready for service.
- Clean and sanitize all back of house areas, ensuring kitchen equipment is washed and always ready for use as well as assisting with the disposal of rubbish in all service areas.
- Provide support to the front of house areas during peak service times including restocking fridges and bar backing.
- Assisting the culinary team with basic food preparation under the supervision of the chefs during peak service times.
- Assist with monitoring cleaning equipment stock levels, flagging any operational concerns.
- A key player in the de-rig and pack down of the hospitality event space, including dismantling equipment and power safely, packing away and securing both large and light equipment into sea freight.
- Follow all health and safety regulations including food hygiene practices and equipment safety procedures.

Requirements
- The role requires a lot of travel and work abroad for approximately 27 weeks of the year, in line with the F1 calendar.
- Full driver’s license and ability to train for a forklift license if necessary.
- It is a bonus if you are fully conversant with Food Safety and Health and Safety requirements, but training will also be provided.
