We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Butcher to join our award‑winning farm shop team. You'll be working with high‑quality locally sourced meat preparing a full range of cuts, maintaining excellent standards of food safety, and delivering outstanding customer service. This role also involves receiving full bodies of beef and breaking them down in‑house – so applicants must be physically capable and confident handling whole carcasses.
Key responsibilities:
- Cutting, preparing, and displaying meat products to a high standard.
- Breaking down whole bodies of beef and other carcasses.
- Receiving meat deliveries (manual handling involved).
- Advising customers on cuts, cooking methods, and product origin.
- Maintaining strict food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Ensuring displays are well‑presented, fully stocked, and appealing.
- Supporting stock rotation and inventory management.
- Helping to maintain a clean and well‑organised butchery environment.
- Working collaboratively with the wider farm shop team.
