As a Shot Blast Technician your responsibilities will involve shot blasting a variety of metals and heavy fabrications, all in preparation for protective coating. You’ll be reporting to our Management Team and ensuring that every steel component is primed and ready for its coating. Your daily checklist includes sticking to health and safety protocols, keeping the production area spick and span, and being mindful of minimising waste. We’re big on maintaining a safe workspace, so that’s always a top priority.
We’re all about teamwork here, so while your main focus will be on shot blasting, there might be times when you’ll pitch in on other tasks. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you’re trained up and ready to tackle anything that comes your way. If you’re hands-on, organised, proactive, and love a bit of self-motivation, you’re already ticking some boxes. Plus, experience in paint-spraying, especially in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing, would be an advantage. We’re talking top-notch skills in automotive painting, especially on materials like stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminium. You need to be used to hitting production targets without breaking a sweat too!
Now, onto the good stuff – the perks! For day shifts, you’re looking at a salary of £34,096.00pa (£15.80ph) or night shifts paid at £36,848.00pa (£18.17ph), both with overtime available at a premium rate.
