Absolute Recruitment are looking for a Powder Coater to join one of their well-established clients based in Cheadle, Stoke on Trent. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing several different sized metal products. You will have a keen eye for detail and be used to working to high specifications and standards, whilst working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7am – 4pm, Fridays 7am – 12.
Duties of a Powder Coater / Wet Painter:
- Ensuring the correct product is in the correct bay
- Checking for damage to any of the parts and immediately reporting them to the Team Leader
- Checking route cards are for the right part
- Ensuring protection on the part is correct
- Processing items to a high standard and in accordance with specifications
- Plan work to minimise waste of raw materials and machinery
- Ensure extractors, doors and all other work equipment are working correctly
- Conduct basic reactive and preventative maintenance work on the equipment
- Monitor the machinery and promptly advise the Team Leader on any issues
- Complete and scan route cards
- Help load and unload as and when required
- General housekeeping duties
Skills/Qualifications:
- Powder Coating experience – DESIRABLE
- Able to manage stressful situations
- Excellent time management and organisation skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Attention to detail
