Bralin Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an iPBC Chemical Process Operator. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity with potential for long-term development. You will be joining a skilled team of operatives reporting to the Production Manager, operating in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
Role Overview
As a Chemical Process Operator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that production processes run efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Your day-to-day responsibilities will support operational excellence, compliance with health and safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Safety First
- Actively participate in the siteβs safety programmes and incident response team
- Report and help investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
- Support ongoing improvements in Health, Safety, and Quality systems
- Operate plant equipment within safe operating limits and in accordance with SOPs
- Maintain high housekeeping standards for a clean and safe working environment
- Ensure comprehensive handovers, documenting and communicating key operational and safety information
- Follow tasks delegated by the Shift Leader or Production Management
- Monitor equipment and process parameters to ensure optimal operation
- Assist with troubleshooting and improving process performance
- Complete accurate batch records and data logs in real time
- Raise maintenance and software issues through the on-site CMMS system
- Liaise with the QC team when required
Skills & Experience Required
- City & Guilds Plant Process Qualification is desirable β equivalent experience will also be considered
- Previous experience on a top-tier COMAH site is essential
- Experience with FLT and MEWPs is advantageous
- A proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement
- First aid qualification is a plus
- Proven teamwork within a large-scale, process-driven operation
- Knowledge of COSHH and experience carrying out risk assessments
- Strong awareness of health and safety and compliance
