The Opportunity
We are hiring an experienced Senior Business Development Representative to join a fast-growing enterprise software consultancy operating in the ERP space. This is not an entry-level SDR role. It is a strategic, high-impact position suited to someone who already understands enterprise ERP sales cycles and can independently generate high-quality, well-qualified opportunities. You will work closely with senior sales leadership, helping to build pipeline within complex mid-market and enterprise organisations. The emphasis is firmly on quality over volume.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute targeted outbound prospecting via calls, email, and LinkedIn
- Engage and qualify senior decision-makers (C-suite, Finance, IT, Operations)
- Identify genuine ERP buying triggers, including:
- Private equity investment
- M&A activity
- Group or subsidiary structures
- Legacy ERP challenges or upcoming renewal windows
- Company size and turnover
- Industry relevance
- Existing ERP footprint
- Commercial appetite and timing
This role requires commercial judgment and confidence β not scripted outreach or activity for activity's sake.
Required Experience
- Minimum 12 months' experience in ERP or enterprise SaaS sales (BDR, SDR, or inside sales)
- Demonstrable success generating opportunities with mid-market or enterprise clients
- Comfortable speaking with senior and executive-level stakeholders
- Experience operating in complex, high-value sales environments
Preferred Background
- Candidates with experience in the following ERP ecosystems will be particularly well suited:
- IFS
- SAP
- Infor
- Equivalent enterprise ERP or large-scale SaaS platform experience will also be considered.
Personal Attributes
- Commercially sharp and outcome-focused
- Able to identify real buying intent rather than follow scripts
- Self-motivated, resilient, and accountable
- Comfortable working autonomously in a high-trust environment
- Strong interest in ERP and business transformation
What This Role Is β and Isn't
This role is:
- Senior and strategic
- Quality-driven
- Highly visible within the sales organisation
This role is not:
- An entry-level SDR position
- A high-volume, low-quality calling role
- A training-heavy environment
You will be expected to hit the ground running.
What's On Offer
- A critical role within a growing ERP-focused consultancy
- Exposure to complex ERP transformation projects
- Direct collaboration with experienced sales and technical leaders
- Uncapped commission and genuine earning potential
- High autonomy and flexibility
- Remote working with occasional travel
There is long-term scope for progression, but the initial focus is on delivering high-quality pipeline and commercial impact.
