THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing, supplying the fabrication and signage marketplace. Owned by a global leader in acrylic manufacturing, the company is well placed to deliver excellent service and support to its customers.
Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Night Shift Warehouse Operative for their Chelmsford distribution centre.
THE ROLE
- You will be working as part of the night shift warehouse team, helping to ensure customer orders are picked, prepared, loaded and dispatched accurately and safely.
- Picking and loading customer orders
- Stock control
- Quality checks
- Following company policies and health & safety procedures
- Working accurately in a busy warehouse environment
- Monday to Thursday
- Overtime as required, typically Friday evening / Saturday morning
- Friday overtime hours: 6:00pm - 12:00am
- Company annual bonus, linked to profit and personal performance
- 25 days holiday
- Free on-site parking
- Long-term career progression opportunities
Requirements:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Experience in a busy, high-pick-value warehouse environment
- Flexible, reliable and positive attitude
- FLT experience preferred
- Reach truck experience ideal, although counterbalance experience will also be considered
- Knowledge of flat sheet cutting, saws or Schelling cutting saws would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided
