A market-leading national distributor is seeking an energetic Sales Account Manager to manage and grow customer accounts from its Tamworth office. This is a full-time internal sales role suited to someone who enjoys working to targets, building strong customer relationships, and being involved in quotations, order processing, and stock coordination.
The role
- Achieving sales targets by value, volume, and gross margin
- Managing and developing existing customer accounts
- Identifying and developing new accounts
- Producing accurate quotations using internal systems
- Managing the full sales order process from enquiry through to fulfilment
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure stock availability and service levels
- Producing monthly sales reports
- Supporting stock purchasing and stock turn objectives
- Maintaining professional day-to-day communication with customers via phone and email
- Attending regular sales office meetings
About you
- Proven experience in sales or account management (internal sales experience preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Commercially aware and target driven
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
