- Junior: £25,000-30,000
- Intermediate: £40,000
- Car Allowance + c£5,000 car allowance
- 🎯 Bonus: Annual profit-based bonus

Overview
We are seeking commercially astute and motivated Quantity Surveyors (Junior or Intermediate level) to support the delivery of high-quality refurbishment and fit-out projects across commercial, education, and public-sector spaces. Based at our Sheffield HQ, you’ll play a key role in ensuring financial performance, cost control, and commercial rigour on fast-moving, design-led projects.
This role suits someone who thrives in a contractor-led, delivery-focused environment—where attention to detail, pace, and communication are essential. With significant growth underway, this is an excellent time to join a close-knit and ambitious team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates , valuations, and final accounts
- Oversee project budgeting and track cost variations throughout the lifecycle
- Lead or support tender submissions and manage procurement of subcontractors
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure commercial clarity
- Administer contracts, negotiate terms, and manage risk exposure
- Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and support value engineering efforts
- Assess and verify subcontractor applications and issue payment certificates
- Maintain clear documentation and reporting, including budget vs. actuals and cash flow
- Produce cost forecasts, variation assessments , and support change control
- Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and site teams
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience as a QS or estimator within refurbishment or fit-out environments
- Strong commercial awareness and a delivery-focused mindset
- Able to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, contractor-led business
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Based in Sheffield or within commutable distance
Preferred:
- Experience in fast-turnaround projects such as schools, commercial offices, or public buildings
- Familiarity with Bluebeam , Excel, and project planning tools (e.g. Powerproject)
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similar
- A proactive team player who can hit the ground running and deliver value
