Our client is a growing UK ERP consultancy and implementation partner delivering ERP transformation projects into manufacturing businesses across the UK, with a strong focus on FMCG, food and beverage and high-volume consumer manufacturing. Due to a strong project pipeline they are now looking to hire an experienced ERP Senior Project Manager to take ownership of multiple live ERP implementations and deliver them end to end at pace.

This is a hands-on senior delivery role for a bright, energetic, commercially aware project manager who genuinely enjoys getting stuck in. The successful candidate will run multiple concurrent ERP projects, working closely with clients, consultants and leadership to deliver implementations on time, on budget and to the standards that have built the consultancy's reputation. Long, slow, drawn-out programme environments are not the right fit here — the pace is fast, the projects are real, and the work matters.

Key Focus Areas

  • End-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent ERP implementation projects
  • Manufacturing ERP transformation
  • Project governance, planning, risk and issue control
  • Commercial delivery — budget, timeline and resource accountability
  • Client-facing project leadership and stakeholder management
  • Steering committee reporting and senior stakeholder communication

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery, performance and progress of multiple concurrent ERP projects
  • Take full ownership of project lifecycle from initiation through to go-live and handover
  • Manage project risks, issues, actions and decisions, escalating appropriately
  • Ensure projects are fully resourced with appropriately skilled consultants
  • Manage budgets, deadlines, scope and change control
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, advising and constructively challenging where appropriate
  • Produce reports and packs for Steering Committee meetings
  • Work closely with the PMO function and Programme Manager on test strategy, governance and reporting
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery processes

Experience Required

  • A minimum of 5 years of ERP project management experience
  • Four to five decent-sized end-to-end ERP implementations delivered from cradle to grave
  • Strong manufacturing sector experience — essential
  • Fast-paced project environments where implementations typically run 9 to 18 months — not multi-year programmes
  • Comfortable running multiple concurrent projects — typically up to two larger implementations, or one large project alongside smaller advisory engagements
  • Background within an ERP consultancy or implementation partner environment is preferred. Strong client-side ERP project managers will also be considered, particularly those who have delivered ERP implementations across multiple organisations, and those with fixed-term contract or consulting backgrounds
  • Strong project governance discipline — RAID, change control, status reporting, planning
  • ERP Platform Experience: Microsoft Dynamics 365, Infor or IFS — strong preference; SAP or Oracle considered, provided experience gained on fast-paced manufacturing implementations rather than long enterprise programmes; Sage and NetSuite backgrounds not the right fit
  • FMCG, food and beverage or high-volume consumer manufacturing experience will be particularly well received.
  • Strong project management methodology and discipline are essential — specific ERP platform methodology training can be provided.
  • Public sector, charities, schools, large construction and slow long-cycle programme backgrounds not the right fit.

The Person

  • Naturally proactive, organised and 'on it'
  • Confident, well-rounded and experienced in front of clients
  • A constructive challenger — able to push back diplomatically when something can be done better
  • Comfortable advising clients on project direction and approach
  • Resilient, adaptable, able to operate across multiple priorities
  • Looking for a role where their input shapes the business

What's on Offer

  • £75,000 – £90,000 salary depending on experience
  • Performance and profit-related bonus (up to 10% — 5% personal performance, 5% company performance)
  • Contributory pension up to 5%
  • 25 days holiday plus a gift, with a holiday buy/sell scheme
  • Annual personal learning and development budget
  • Streaming subscription
  • EV salary sacrifice scheme
  • Anniversary gifts and refer-a-friend bonus
  • Flexible, home-based working with occasional UK travel (1-2 trips per month typically)
