Warehouse Operative, Nightshift
Location: Darwen
Starting: A.S.A.P.
Hours: Monday to Thursday - 4pm - 1.30 am, Friday - 2pm - 7.30 pm

£26-28k Basic, discretional bonus based on group, branch and individual performance.
THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing servicing the fabrication and signage marketplace. Owned by the global leader in the manufacture of acrylics, the distribution team is ideally placed to deliver excellence in supplying and supporting their customers. As part of its expansion, the company is recruiting a Nightshift Warehouse operative for their distribution centre in Darwen, Blackburn; if successfully recruited you will experience a first-rate working environment, free on-site parking and numerous other benefits.
THE ROLE
- Receiving and dispatching goods
- Picking and loading customer orders
- Stock control
- Quality checks
- Following company policies and procedures to ensure a high level of safety at all times
- Ensuring all stock is correctly unloaded, checked and stored in the correct locations.
THE CANDIDATE:
You will have the following key skills:
- Experience in a busy, high pick value warehouse
- Knowledge of Schelling cutting saws would be ideal although not essential as full training will be given.
- Fork lift licence essential
- Highly competent in using a counterbalance FLT (essential)
- Good communication skills
- Excellent H&S knowledge
The company is busy, and the role will be fast paced. Applicants should be physically fit and hard working. There will be no working weekends (other than some overtime now and again) with this position and there is a shutdown over the Christmas period. This is an excellent organisation to work for.
