THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod, and tubing, supplying the fabrication and signage marketplace. Owned by a global leader in acrylic manufacturing, the company is well placed to deliver excellent service and support to its customers.
Due to continued growth, they are now recruiting a Night Shift Warehouse Operative for their Chelmsford distribution centre.
THE ROLE
You will be working as part of the night shift warehouse team, helping to ensure customer orders are picked, prepared, loaded, and dispatched accurately and safely. Duties will include:
- Receiving and dispatching goods
- Picking and loading customer orders
- Stock control
- Quality checks
- Ensuring stock is unloaded, checked, and stored correctly
- Following company policies and health & safety procedures
- Working accurately in a busy warehouse environment
HOURS & PAY
Monday to Thursday: 9:30pm - 7:30am. Overtime as required, typically Friday evening / Saturday morning. Friday overtime hours: 6:00pm - 12:00am. No regular weekend work.
THE PACKAGE
£30,000 basic salary. Company annual bonus, linked to profit and personal performance. 25 days holiday. Christmas shutdown. Free on-site parking. Long-term career progression opportunities.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous warehouse experience
- Experience in a busy, high-pick-value warehouse environment
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- Good health & safety awareness
- Flexible, reliable, and positive attitude
- FLT experience preferred
- Reach truck experience ideal, although counterbalance experience will also be considered
- Knowledge of flat sheet cutting, saws or Schelling cutting saws would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided
Location: Chelmsford, Essex - applicants must be able to reliably commute.
