A well established and ambitious dental healthcare group with a growing international presence is investing heavily in new clinics across the UK and Ireland. As that pipeline grows, they are bringing the management of their building projects in house and are looking for a capable Construction Project Manager to take ownership of delivering them. This is a genuinely rare opportunity to own the full lifecycle of multiple developments for a business that is expanding fast, with the autonomy to shape how the function works as it grows.

The role involves:

  • Owning the delivery of each project end to end, from acquired building through design, fit out and snagging to handover.
  • Acting as the client's representative, appointing and managing architects, designers, surveyors and contractors.
  • Planning, procuring and coordinating the trades, working alongside an established supply chain of electricians, plumbers, carpenters and other specialists.
  • Controlling the programme, budget and costs for each scheme, and reporting progress, spend and risk to the leadership team.
  • Keeping every build compliant with building regulations, CDM and health and safety, and the clinical standards that apply to a regulated healthcare environment.
  • Managing several projects across the UK and Ireland, travelling between sites as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • You are someone who can take a project and run with it, comfortable both managing the wider team and getting on site to push the work along when it matters.
  • Your background needs to be in commercial property rather than residential.
  • Essential qualifications include a background in commercial property, with a proven track record delivering commercial fit out and refurbishment projects (healthcare, retail, office, leisure or similar) on time and on budget.
  • Strong experience managing trades, contractors and consultants through the full build.
  • Solid commercial awareness, with the ability to control budgets and programmes across more than one project.
  • Confident managing health and safety on site (CSCS, ideally SMSTS).
  • A full UK driving licence and genuine willingness to travel and stay away across the UK and Ireland.

Advantageous, but not essential:

  • Experience fitting out regulated or clinical spaces such as dental, medical, optical or veterinary, and familiarity with the compliance that comes with it.
  • A construction management or civil engineering qualification, or equivalent experience earned on the job.
  • An eye for the wider property picture, having worked on sites where additional units sit alongside the main scheme.

What is on offer:

  • A salary of £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience, with flexibility for the right person.
  • A car or travel allowance plus expenses, reflecting the travel involved.
  • The chance to own a growing programme of work and build the function around you.
  • A fast growing, ambitious business with real investment behind it and a clear pipeline of projects.
