A high-growth, international payments and fintech business is seeking an Interim Tax Accountant to join its UK/Europe finance team. This is a great opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on role with exposure across multiple jurisdictions during a key phase of development and change. The company operates in a highly regulated sector, with entities across the UK, Ireland, and wider Europe. You’ll work closely with the global tax and finance teams to ensure compliance, support reporting cycles, and add value to business decisions.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Preparing UK corporate tax returns and managing compliance processes
  • Assisting with tax compliance for European entities, in partnership with local advisors
  • Supporting tax provisioning and reporting under IFRS
  • Advising on indirect tax and responding to queries from HMRC and other authorities
  • Contributing to group-wide tax initiatives and process improvements
  • Supporting on ad hoc projects, including product launches and structural changes

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified ACA / ACCA / CTA (or equivalent)
  • Trained in a recognised accountancy or tax practice
  • Minimum 1–2 years of industry experience in a tax or finance team
  • Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax compliance
  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail
  • Nice to have: Experience with Irish tax compliance
  • Background in fintech or regulated financial services
  • Familiarity with indirect tax and/or transfer pricing
