About the Role:

As the Senior ICT Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring schools have a reliable and effective IT infrastructure. From maintaining hardware and software to implementing innovative ICT solutions, you will help enhance the learning environment for students and staff. Travel between sites is required in this role so a full, clean driver’s license is required.

Key Responsibilities as the Senior ICT Consultant:

  • Maintain and support all IT hardware and services across school sites
  • Assist in improving ICT provisions to enhance teaching and learning
  • Act as the main point of contact between the school and IT services, ensuring excellent communication and support
  • Install and manage software across networks and provide troubleshooting for technical issues
  • Support users with Microsoft Office 365 and other common applications
  • Provide proactive IT solutions to optimize school operations

About You:

  • At least 2 years of experience in ICT support, ideally in an education setting (but not essential)
  • Strong technical background with experience in troubleshooting and IT infrastructure
  • Passion for technology and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Has led installations of servers and networks.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong experience of Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Cloud technologies – Office 365/Azure
  • Experience supporting desktops, iPads, printers, AV equipment, and networking solutions
  • Virtualisation Technologies such as Hyper-V
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and common user applications
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
