My client are looking for an Epos Engineer to join their exciting company. The role would be suited towards an individual with previous computer or EPoS experience, showing technical competence in general hardware and operating systems.
The role would be varied and will require the successful applicant to spend their working week between fulfilling new orders, stock management, machine repairs, carrying out on-site warranties and supporting customers over the phone and occasionally face-to-face with full EPoS installations.
Responsibilities:
- Previous experience fault finding EPOS equipment and peripherals
- First-line technical support to customers, via phone, email, and online system
- Testing of the equipment and completing configurations/builds
- Diagnosing and resolving faults remotely
- Experience with Microsoft operating systems and installation
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies
- Experience using Sage 200 is desirable but not essential
- Experience using Microsoft Office systems
- Stock management and distribution around the warehouse
- On occasions you will be expected to carry out onsite repairs for customers
- Good telephone manners and ability to talk with customers in a technical and non-technical manner
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- A team player
- Capable of managing a small team and reporting to director
- Able to implement training for staff and customers onsite
- The ability to be proactive, able to prioritise, and problem-solve while working alone and as part of a growing team is essential
References will be required. Full clean driving license is essential.
