Commercial Management Accountant role within a dynamic, production-led Creative industry business. We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant for an industry leading TV Production company based in the heart of London. This is a high-impact role supporting senior stakeholders across multiple business areas, providing clear financial insight, robust reporting, and trusted commercial support. This role is offered on a 12 month contract, offers an exceptional office space and hybrid working (3 days in, 2 from home).
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and annual budgets, providing clear variance analysis and insight for senior stakeholders.
- Own and manage P&Ls across multiple business areas, ensuring accurate cost capture, revenue recognition, and timely reporting.
- Post journals, accruals, prepayments, and complete balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end close.
- Monitor payroll and headcount against budget and forecast.
- Track project and production costs, maintaining accurate cost codes and pipelines.
- Deliver commercial analysis on revenue, margins, and performance, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis, costings, and scenario modelling to support decision-making.
- Business partner closely with operational teams to ensure financial controls, budget discipline, and contractual compliance.
- Support quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting cycles, and audit processes.
- Contribute to process improvements, ERP system developments, and more efficient finance workflows.
- Ensure timely billing, accrued income management, and accurate recharges.
- Build strong relationships across finance and non-finance teams, supporting and developing junior finance colleagues.
- Assist with sustainability reporting and wider finance projects as required.
Key skills
- Finalist or qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
- Proven background in management accounting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Background in TV/Film production is required.
- Experience owning P&Ls and delivering clear, insightful financial reporting.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong commercial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel and strong overall IT / systems capability.
- Experience improving finance processes and supporting ERP or system implementations.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
- Confident, proactive, and solutions-focused approach.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across finance and operational teams.
