This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Management Accountant who enjoys taking ownership, partnering with stakeholders across the business, and contributing to process improvements. The role offers broad exposure across multiple revenue streams and business functions, making it ideal for someone looking to develop their commercial finance and business partnering experience. Hybrid working with just 2 days per week in the office.

Key Duties:

  • Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts for designated business units
  • Take ownership of multiple P&Ls, providing meaningful analysis and commercial insight
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis against budget and forecast, including detailed commentary for management reporting
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial controls are maintained
  • Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders to support decision-making and financial performance
  • Review and interpret commercial contracts, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment and budgeting
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles
  • Provide financial modelling, analysis, and ad hoc reporting to senior management
  • Monitor revenue streams and work closely with internal teams to support effective cash collection
  • Support year-end audit processes and ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting, controls, and efficiency
  • Act as the key finance contact for day-to-day operational queries across the business

Key Skills:

  • Part-qualified/Finalist or newly qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
  • Previous experience producing management accounts and owning a P&L
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to understand key revenue and cost drivers
  • Confident business partner, able to build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to investigate and explain variances
  • Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial control experience
  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and logical functions
  • Proactive and hands-on approach with a willingness to challenge processes and suggest improvements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
