The Opportunity

A growing managed service provider is hiring an Information Security Engineer to deliver Cyber Security as a Service (CSaaS) across its client base. This Information Security Engineer role is 80% focused on deployments, with 20% supporting incidents and security issues. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys building and improving secure environments at scale across a diverse client base.

The Role

  • Deploy and optimise Cyber Security as a Service solutions across client environments
  • Implement security controls across endpoint, identity, email, and network layers
  • Work extensively with Microsoft Defender (Defender for Endpoint, M365 Defender) and security policies
  • Deliver vulnerability management and patching across managed environments
  • Support Cyber Essentials / CE+ readiness and security best practices
  • Act as a client-facing Information Security Engineer, providing clear, pragmatic advice
  • Investigate and respond to threats including phishing, alerts, and incidents

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience as an Information Security Engineer or similar (3+ years)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender and the Microsoft security stack
  • Good understanding of endpoint, identity, and network security principles
  • Experience working in an MSP, MSSP, or multi-client environment
  • Exposure to frameworks such as Cyber Essentials or ISO standards
  • Strong communication skills with a consultative mindset
