We’re working with a fast‑growing, highly respected organisation in the technology services space, currently seeking a Credit Control & Accounts Receivable Administrator to join their finance team. Based in West Hampstead, London, the role offers a flexible hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 remote), alongside exposure to a broad range of finance responsibilities and stakeholders.
Key Duties
- Proactively manage and chase outstanding customer payments via phone and email
- Liaise with customers to confirm payment timelines and resolve billing disputes
- Produce and analyse aged debt reports, supporting bad debt reviews and escalations
- Process and reconcile Direct Debit collections, including amendments and queries
- Allocate incoming receipts accurately against invoices and resolve unallocated cash
- Maintain clean and accurate accounts receivable ledgers, including reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve historical balances and billing discrepancies
- Post cash transactions and perform regular bank reconciliations
- Support month‑end processes, ensuring all reconciliations are completed on time
- Administer credit card transactions, ensuring accurate posting and compliance with documentation requirements
- Monitor shared finance mailboxes, responding promptly to queries and ensuring proper categorisation
Key Skills
- Previous experience in Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or a similar finance role
- Solid understanding of invoice processing, cash allocation, and debt management
- Confident handling customer queries and maintaining strong working relationships
- Experience using finance systems (ideally Oracle/Netsuite) and strong Excel skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proactive, resilient, and solutions‑focused approach
