An established and growing business in Hertford is looking to add a proactive and motivated Finance Assistant to its accounts team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their finance career, eager to gain hands-on experience while working toward professional qualifications.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing credit control, including following up on outstanding payments and maintaining regular contact with clients
- Processing purchase ledger transactions such as invoices, credit notes, and payments
- Handling sales ledger duties including invoice creation, credit notes, and customer receipts
- Reconciling and processing company credit card expenses
- Responding to internal and external finance-related queries
- Overseeing the finance team’s shared inbox and ensuring timely responses
- Collaborating with operations and other internal departments
- Supporting with general finance administration and ad hoc tasks as needed
