We’re recruiting a Finance Manager for a well-established, growing organisation based in London. This is a key position within the finance function, playing a central role in financial reporting, controls, governance, and business partnering across the wider business.

This role suits someone who enjoys combining strong technical accounting with operational oversight and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

The Role As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting senior leadership with insight and decision-making. You’ll take ownership of core finance processes end-to-end, helping to strengthen and streamline reporting and governance while supporting the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Control

  • Identify and resolve accounting and control issues across the business
  • Oversee finance transactions and consolidation processes to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Lead and continuously improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting standards
  • Act as system administrator for financial software, maintaining structure and integrity
  • Manage audit relationships, acting as the main point of contact for internal/external auditors
  • Ensure robust month-end / period-end processes including reconciliations and control reviews
  • Reporting & Business Partnering

  • Lead internal and external reporting requirements
  • Own overhead budgeting, rolling forecasts and cashflow forecasting
  • Provide clear financial insight and guidance to senior leadership
  • Interpret and communicate complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Produce reports and financial presentation materials for leadership meetings
  • Leadership & Wider Support

  • Support and deputise for the HR/Finance Director where required
  • Help manage finance team resourcing requirements and cover planning
  • Support with company secretarial / governance responsibilities
  • What We’re Looking For
    Essential

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Experience in the Construction sector
  • Significant post-qualification experience
  • Strong experience in statutory reporting, planning/forecasting and controls
  • Confident communicator, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance teams
  • Proven experience managing a finance team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to improve processes
  • Desirable

  • Experience with Sage 200 Professional Accounting software
  • Knowledge of Eque2
