Are you an experienced bookkeeper looking for a role within a supportive and friendly environment?
A well-regarded, friendly business with roots stretching back over 150 years is now looking to welcome a friendly, adaptable Bookkeeper to support a close-knit team following the retirement of a valued colleague.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Full bookkeeping duties — including recording, reconciling, and reporting financial transactions
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Bank reconciliations and month-end processes
- Supporting payroll and general finance administration
- Covering other finance tasks when required
- Assisting with audits, compliance and financial record-keeping
- Working collaboratively across departments to support business needs
This role requires someone capable, organised, and comfortable switching between bookkeeping and occasional other financial responsibilities as the business needs dictate.
About You
- Has practical bookkeeping experience in a small company
- Is confident with accounting software (Xero) and Microsoft Office
- Takes care and pride in accuracy and compliance
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Is proactive, trustworthy and personable
- Can adapt to varied responsibilities, including some cashiering functions
