A well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Hertfordshire is looking to recruit an Audit Manager or Assistant Manager due to ongoing growth. You will be taking over clients from several of the existing partners’ portfolios. With around 40 staff, the firm acts for a broad range of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and growing corporate groups, with clients ranging from start-ups through to businesses with turnovers in excess of £100 million. Audit forms a significant part of the firm's service offering and will represent the majority of this role.
The Role
- Managing a portfolio of clients being the main point of contact
- Lead statutory and voluntary audits from planning through to completion
- Managing and mentoring junior team members
- Prepare audit plans, risk assessments and budgets
- Ensure audit files are technically robust and compliant with ISAs (UK) and FRS 102
- Deliver assignments within agreed deadlines and budgets
The Successful Candidate
- ACA or ACCA qualified, manager or superior experience
- Strong UK practice audit experience
- Experience leading audits from planning through to completion
- Previous experience managing/supervising and reviewing junior staff
- Good technical knowledge of FRS 102 and ISAs (UK)
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and professional approach
