Management Accountant – Regulated Fintech

Absolute Recruit is partnering with a regulated fintech in London to recruit a Management Accountant. This is an opportunity to build on your month-end experience, contribute to business decisions and help improve financial processes within a regulated environment.
You’ll support the delivery of accurate management information, working closely with colleagues across finance and the wider business to understand performance and maintain strong financial controls.
The role
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments and journals.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Produce variance analysis and commentary to explain financial performance.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting.
- Work with budget holders to monitor costs and understand spending.
- Support year-end audit preparation and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting.
About you
- Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant, studying towards or having completed ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
- Experience in management accounts preparation and month-end reporting.
- Experience working in a Fintech or regulated business.
- Strong Excel skills, with confidence handling and interpreting financial data.
- A proactive approach to resolving issues and improving how things are done.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build relationships beyond finance.
The role offers a salary of £45,000–£55,000, with three days per week in the London office, strong bonus structure and private healthcare.
