The Role
As an Audit Manager the role offers a varied workload, split approximately 80% Audit and 20% Accounts, with substantial responsibility for managing client relationships and developing staff.
The position would suit someone who enjoys leading assignments, supporting a team and being a trusted point of contact for clients.
Manage a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, building strong relationships and overseeing the delivery of assignments
Lead audits from planning through to completion, managing budgets, deadlines and resources
Supervise, coach and develop team members, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback
Work closely with Partners, keeping them informed of progress and resolving technical or client matters
Coordinate workloads across assignments, ensuring staff have the support they need to deliver high-quality work
Identify opportunities to provide additional support to clients as their businesses develop
Review statutory accounts and ensure work meets the relevant technical and reporting requirements
About the Candidate
The successful Audit Manager will be a qualified accountant with strong audit and accounts experience gained within UK accountancy practice, and will look to continue their audit career.
ACA or ACCA qualified, or equivalent
Strong audit and accounts experience gained within UK accountancy practice
Experience leading audit assignments and reviewing the work of junior staff
Sound knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting requirements
Confident managing client relationships and communicating technical matters clearly
