We are looking for self-employed Electrical Process Electricians and/or Process Installation Engineers to support our client with a strong pipeline of new and existing business throughout 2026 and 2027. Our client is a Shropshire based business established two years ago, already successful and profitable. They are moving into their next period of growth and have a strong order book. They are looking for a pool of reputable contractors to ensure they are able to deliver the installation of electrical process control panels predominantly within the food manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors.

A willingness to learn, positive attitude, great communication skills and reliability are all qualities that are required for these roles. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for additional work during otherwise quiet times or who is looking to develop new sub-contractor relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Installation of electrical process control panels
  • Maintenance and modification of control panels
  • UK travel and some overnight stays

Candidate requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline (essential)
  • ECS Gold Card (essential)
  • An electrical engineering qualification is beneficial
  • Experience working as an Industrial Electrician/Process Electrician
  • A focus on electrical process installation is beneficial
  • Experience of wiring up valves and pumps
  • Experience of commercial and industrial electrical work
  • Happy to be away from home and travel across the UK
  • Clean UK driving licence (or equivalent)
  • Own vehicle (essential)
  • Own tools (essential)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Be a great ambassador for the business ensuring their reputation is maintained

Benefits and reward package:

  • Hourly rate between £20 and £25 per hour depending on experience and expertise – payment is made via CIS
  • Accommodation and travel expenses covered by our client (subject to prior agreement)
