About the role
Our client is an established Accountancy Firm in Shropshire and are looking for a proactive and organised HR Assistant to support the day-to-day delivery of their HR operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their HR career within a professional services environment. You will work closely with the HR Manager and People and Culture Lead, to ensure smooth HR administration, compliance with employment legislation, and a positive employee experience across the firm.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, screening CVs, interview coordination, obtaining references and onboarding of new starters
- Maintaining and updating employee records and HR databases accurately
- Preparing employment documents such as contracts, offer letters, and policy updates
- Assisting with absence management and time off and holiday tracking within the HRIS systems
- Ensuring compliance with UK employment law and internal HR procedures
- Responsible for managing Health and Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures for the Company
- Co-ordination of Training and Development opportunities. Supporting trainees through their relevant programmes, logging CPD hours, and helping organise training sessions.
