The Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Tele-Truck Driver to join a busy and well-established timber yard team. This role is ideally suited to candidates with timber yard or builders merchant experience, rather than construction site telehandler operators. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily yard operations, ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a tele-truck to move timber and building materials around the yard
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Supporting general yard duties when required
- Assisting with stock organisation and storage
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Requirements:
- Previous tele-truck or telehandler experience essential
- Timber yard or builders merchant experience preferred
- Valid licence/certification to operate telehandler machinery
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work as part of a team
