About the Role

Absolute IT Recruitment is seeking a Head of Artificial Intelligence to join a data-centric organisation in the healthcare, medical, and pharma sector. This senior role will be based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire (30 minutes from King's Cross) and offers flexible working with 3 days per week from home. The successful candidate will serve as the senior point of contact within the business for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, reporting directly to the CEO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning initiatives within the organisation.
  • Work alongside senior management teams to make a tangible impact on the business.
  • Develop and deploy scalable predictive models.
  • Lead Software Engineering and/or Data Science teams.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in AI and ML to deliver market-leading products, applications, and services.

Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience working within a Lead Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning position commercially.
  • Exceptional understanding of Deep Learning and Machine Learning tools/frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, etc.).
  • Experience building predictive models and an environment to build and deploy scalable models.
  • Extensive experience writing code in Python, R and Java.
  • A genuine interest in the latest developments within the field of AI and ML.
  • Experience leading a Software Engineering and/or Data Science teams in a previous role.
