The Resource Planner and HR Support role is responsible for maintaining a robust, compliant, and scalable interpreter workforce while providing structured HR administrative support. The role is highly target-driven and combines high-volume recruitment activity with full document control and compliance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Resource Planning, Recruitment, and Targets: Proactively source, screen, and onboard new interpreters and translators. Meet a minimum daily target of sourcing and onboarding between 25 and 30 new applicants per day. Identify language shortages and high-demand areas and take proactive action. Work closely with Booking Coordinators to ensure sufficient resource availability.
- Onboarding and Full Document Control: Carry out full document checks, verification, and data entry for new applicants. Ensure completion and accuracy of right-to-work documentation, qualifications and certifications, DBS checks, insurance, ID, and mandatory training records. Maintain audit-ready digital files for all interpreters and translators.
- HR Support: Provide day-to-day HR administrative support for staff, apprentices, and linguists. Support onboarding, probation tracking, performance documentation, and training records. Assist with absence tracking, disciplinary documentation, and HR reporting. Handle sensitive and confidential information in line with GDPR and company policies.
- Communication and Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for applicants and interpreters during onboarding. Respond promptly to documentation, compliance, and training queries. Promote professional standards and compliance across the interpreter network.
Skills and Experience Required
- Experience in high-volume recruitment, resource planning, or HR administration.
- Ability to work to daily onboarding and compliance targets.
- Strong attention to detail and methodical approach to document control.
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Confident IT skills, including databases and Microsoft Office.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience within interpreting, translation, healthcare, or regulated services.
- Knowledge of DBS processes, safeguarding, and employment legislation.
- Experience supporting apprentices or large contractor workforces.
