Absolute CNC Ltd is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer to join our close-knit team in Burton-on-Trent as part of our continued business expansion. We manufacture a wide range of precision-engineered components across multiple engineering sectors, from one-off parts through to larger batch work. Much of our work is high-value, technical and produced from demanding materials, including exotic metals.

About the Role
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Fanuc controls and be confident programming, setting and operating CNC machines. Experience in either milling or turning will be considered, although experience in both would be an advantage.
Responsibilities Creating and optimising CNC programs using machine controls Setting up CNC machines, including selecting the correct workholding, tooling and machining approach Programming, setting and operating parts from billet through to finished component Reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings in both imperial and metric Using measuring equipment such as micrometers, bore gauges and thread gauges Editing existing CNC programs where required Working with production managers and other team members to improve machine efficiency Working independently while also supporting the wider team where needed Qualifications
- Proven experience as an online CNC Programmer
- Strong experience producing programs on Fanuc controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A flexible and practical approach to supporting the wider business
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with exotic materials such as duplex, Inconel or titanium
- Offline programming experience
- Experience creating CAD drawings using AutoCAD or similar software
- Experience programming both milling and turning machines
- Knowledge of Doosan machines
