Daily Nanny / Childminding Assistant – East Twickenham (TW1)

The Details

  • Schedule: Monday to Thursday (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!)
  • Hours: 08:30 – 17:30 (36 hours per week)
  • Salary: £19 gross per hour → £21 gross per hour (Post-probation)

The Team: Working alongside two other lovely caregivers for up to 12 children (ages 1–4).

The Role: Creative Freedom & Hands-on Care

This role offers a rare level of autonomy. You won't just be following a plan; you will be shaping the day.

  • Creative Programming: You have the freedom to plan and lead your own activities. Whether it’s a specific art project, a sensory play setup, or a long-term "mini-project" based on the children’s current interests, you are encouraged to bring your own ideas to the table.
  • Morning Adventures: Leading trips to local groups, parks, green spaces, museums, or Kew Gardens.

The Practicalities: This is an "all-hands" role. You’ll be proactive with nappy changes, potty training, and tidying up. You will also help prepare healthy snacks and nutritious lunches for the group.

Nurturing Environment: Maintaining a clean, safe, and happy home-from-home where the children feel empowered to learn through play.

About You

  • We are looking for a motivated, "muck-in" team player with a genuine spark for early years development.
  • Innovative: You love brainstorming new crafts, projects, and ways to engage little minds.
  • Proactive: You see what needs to be done—from a messy kitchen to a child needing a snuggle—and you jump in.
  • Knowledgeable: A strong understanding of EYFS and Safeguarding is beneficial to help guide your creative planning.
  • Local: Ideally living in or near TW1 and walking, cycling or public transport to work - parking is not possible.
