What would you be doing?
You will be visiting older vulnerable adults in their own homes.
Helping them with everyday tasks, so they can continue to live in the environment which they love most because it holds their treasured memories.
When people can't do what they used to do for themselves, their world shrinks. they may spend more time alone, see less people and may even start to wonder if anyone does care.
That's whereyoucome in to give isolated people contact to the outside world and show them they are not forgotten.
Duties include
- Supporting clients to relearn skills and regain their independence in their own home
- Help with elements of personal care including getting up in the morning, prepare for bed in the evening by being there whilst they have a shower or bath.
- Assist them with dressing/undressing.
- Preparing meals and snacks.
- Domestic helpingwith the laundry or other household cleaning.
- Support with shopping and managing their bills.
- Being a warm reliable companion who they can rely on for support.
- Daily living assistance and getting up and about.
- Motivating to achieve the goals they have set.
